NOT TIME ENOUGH

By Dave Hanks

When one walks on the wild side one ought to keep track,
Of the time that is spent and the time to head back.

With so much to absorb, the time slips away – I confess.
And though we should have returned, I couldn’t care less.

Because each of our targets, may have been hard to find.
If sharp photos result, then one seems not to mind –

The time spent on the wild side, so unhurried, so free.
These memorable moments of life,
Will always come back to me.
